Gallivant was never a part of my vocabulary. 27 years of living on this planet and this one beautiful word never managed to find its way to my mouth. Until he said it for the first time. On a cold October Sunday evening.
“What were you up to the whole day?” I asked him as we finally got to catch up with each other.
“I went gallivanting through Erraguda market. I got myself a mosquito bat.” he said as he flaunted his new mosquito bat on FaceTime.
Who says ‘gallivant’ in a casual conversation is all that I could think of. Him casually slipping in ‘gallivant’ like it was yet another everyday word made me giggle. Probably that is also when I first started loving him.
